The Renaissance of Boyne Mountain Resort has begun. The New Mountain Grand Lodge, Spa and Avalanche Bay (Indoor water park) opened May 2005 adding 220 rooms and 6500 square feet of additional meeting space. The water park alone has 88,000 sq. feet of fun rain or shine and is the largest in Michigan. From Cherry Capital Airport: Turn left onto S. Airport Road Turn left onto 3 Mile Road Turn right (north) onto US 31. (Follow 31 around the bay) In Acme, turn right (east) on to highway 72. This will bring you to Kalkaska. At the first intersection in Kalkaska, turn left (north) onto 131. The main entrance to Boyne Mountain is approximately 36 miles from Kalkaska on the left. Once you enter the property, stay on the main road until you see sign in left for Mountain Grand Lodge. Check in for all accommodations is at the Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa.
